3 Ways to Elevate your Wedding in 2024

Floral Lapel and Pocket Squares

Let's take a second and focus on the groom. The groom typically gets a small sprig of flowers to pin on his jacket called a boutonnière. While some may like this traditional look, and remember THAT IS OK, it is your wedding day and you should get the florals OF YOUR DREAMS! The question that I would like to pose is, what speaks elegance and class to you? Keep that question in mind while I share some options to elevate the grooms and groomsmen flowers that are simple to put on! I personally LOVE the idea of a floral lapel. It gives the florist the ability to make the groom's wedding flowers special. With this look, florals cover the grooms lapel which creates a beautiful statement floral piece and brings attention to the groom as well. If that simply is not your taste, or you are wanting a simpler option to elevate the florals for the groom and groomsmen, a pocket square is simply tucked into the suit pocket and is covered in florals. Pocket squares have more of a floral impact than the traditional boutonnière. If you want to keep it classy, simple, and traditional then a magnetic boutonnière is perfect for you! Boutonnière pins aren't necessary anymore. Nobody likes getting poked and nobody wants a hole in their new suit.

Less Greens, More Florals

One of the more traditional ways to make floral arrangements is to put in more greens and less flowers. I love working with greens and am happy to put more greens in your arrangements or bouquets if this is the look that you prefer. I love creating what my clients love and can create arrangements in the style preferred. Something I have loved doing is creating arrangements that let the flowers speak for themselves. Letting the blooms and the bright colors take the floor and accenting the flowers with greens. Putting the bigger brighter blooms in the center of the floral arrangement makes a bigger impact on the floral arrangement. Using greens as an accent helps create a wild and whimsical design that gives the flowers the floor!

Statement Pieces and Installs

I LOVE creating statement pieces that show the couples personality and style. There are many different arch styles that are unique and fun! Recently, I have seen many couples use a modern backdrop with florals attached. One of my favorite arch design styles is asymmetric, which is where the arch florals are not the same on both sides. I feel this creates a more natural feel in the flowers. I also am happy to do symmetrical arch designs. I love it when there is a symmetric full arch, but most of all I LOVE it when my clients personalities and styles are reflected in the florals!
